THE Philippines is sending a 10-man chess squad led by United States-based Grandmaster Mark Paragua and Girls’s GM Janelle Mae Frayna to the forty fourth World Chess Olympiad from July 28 to Aug. 10 in Chennai, India.
The Nationwide Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) formally introduced the workforce’s composition on Monday as the most important and most grandiose occasion in chess returning to face-to-face motion after two years of hiatus resulting from pandemics.
Additionally included within the males’s workforce have been one other US-based GM Rogelio ‘Banjo’ Barcenilla, GM Darwin Laylo, GM John Paul Gomez, and Worldwide Grasp Paulo Bersamina. GM Oliver Barbosa, GM Julio Catalino Sadorra, and IM Daniel Quizon, a sailver medalist in final Might SEA Video games in Haboim Vietnam, weren’t included within the workforce after the NCFP handed up on different qualification tournaments resulting from lack of time.
