The Division of International Affairs has recalled for “consultations” Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Adnan Alonto after a video of his spouse went viral, overtly supporting a presidential candidate and chiding Filipino employees to “flirt” with their employers in the event that they weren’t allowed to exit to vote.

Filipinos abroad can begin casting their votes beginning April 10 till Might 9.
Saudi Arabia has 282,605 registered voters for 2022 presidential elections, the second largest variety of abroad absentee voters, after United Arab Emirates.
