Belgium will deploy 300 troops in Romania as a part of NATO efforts to strengthen its japanese flank, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo stated on Saturday, as Russia pounded Ukrainian cities with artillery and cruise missiles for the third day.
“Belgium assumes its accountability inside NATO Fast Response, of which parts had been activated yesterday. Within the present part, 300 Belgian troopers might be deployed in Romania,” he stated on Twitter.
Belgium will even help the Ukrainian forces with 2,000 machine weapons and three,800 tons of gas, in line with De Croo, who added that the federal government in Brussels was wanting into additional requests for assist from the federal government in Kyiv.
