A patrolman died whereas two others had been injured after an Airbus H125 single-engine mild utility helicopter (RP-9710) of the Philippine Nationwide Police crashed in Actual, Quezon on Monday.
“Rescue groups from the PNP, Bureau of Hearth Safety, and LGU reached the crash web site in Barangay Pandan, Actual, Quezon at 8:05 a.m. and evacuated the survivors,” BGen. Roderick Alba, head of the PNP’s Public Info Workplace, mentioned.
Alba recognized the fatality as Patrolman Allen Noel Ona, who died whereas being attended to by paramedic rescuers on the crash web site. The injured personnel had been Lt. Col. Dexter Vitug, the pilot, and Lt. Col. Michael Melloria, the co-pilot. They had been taken to a hospital in Infanta, Quezon.
The PNP grounded its fleet of H125 Airbus helicopters pending investigation of the incident.
The helicopter was reported lacking at 6.18 a.m. on Monday, minutes after leaving the Manila Worldwide Airport.
